Mater Dei High School Band

 About the Band

The Mater Dei High School Band program consists of the high school concert band, jazz band, marching band, pep band, colorguard, dance cats, and various small ensembles. 

The feeder school program includes the following schools:

Corpus Christi 

Holy Redeemer 

Resurrection 

St. Joe (County)

St. Phillip

St. Wendel

Westside Catholic School

The Mater Dei High School Band has a reputation for being one of the finest small bands in Indiana.  In 2006, the marching band became a State Finalist for the first time in the history of Mater Dei High School!  The band became the smallest band to qualify as a State Finalist in Indiana history!  Although being the smallest band to qualify for state competition is a great accomplishment and honor, we are proud to say that the size of our band is growing in numbers!  In 2009, our band has grown to 46 members, including dance cats and color guard!

In 2007, the Mater Dei High School Band once again earned the privilege of competing at the state level, placing 5th!  Check out the "Contest Results" page to see  competition placements for 2007, 2008 and 2009!
