About the Band In 2006 Mater Dei was the smallest band in Indiana to ever qualify for State Competition, and placed 8th in Class D. In 2007 Mater Dei once again qualified for State Competition at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis and received 5th place in their division! What an awesome achievement for this very hard-working group of students!
In 2008, the Marching Wildcats received a Gold Division trophy at the Class C Regional Competition at ISU in Terre Haute in and then went on to Semi-State Competition at Pike High School in Indianapolis.
